I wake up and I start off with gratitude. Listening to positive and encouraging words helps me shape my day. There are times when I wake up and I immediately remember a negative perspective of the day prior; consuming thoughts with negative self-talk or anxious sorrows, I put it to rest by playing a voice that does the positive talking for me. It gets me in the mind of where I prefer to be on the days when I wake up and chose to argue for limitations that are non-existent. That's living in resistance, I intentionally focus on being in the receptive mode of solution. Thus, standing in my purpose.
I went to a Valentine's Day event, my first upon moving to Brooklyn, NY. I remember it was an LGBTQ+ event in a church, which was new to me. My next thought was,
"Hey this is New York City, there can be anything anywhere."
And just like that, I was open to it.
