Ontavia Roulette's Dream Through My Eyes

This fashion campaign gave me many opportunities to surround myself in nature, again. I had been living in the state of New York for almost a year at that point. I didn't realize during the process, how transforming being in nature could be for me and what I create. I recall feeling anxiety in my body, along with the swaying of balance, within me. It was similar to the swaying balance of the truck driven by Ontavia Roulette while on the road to the first filming location; deep in the forest. In my mind, I changed the rhythm within by aligning to the familiar package that surrounded me; the love of the dream. Sense was made. Just that quick I changed my mind to conclude, "if I can do that, then I know I can do this." We came to a stop, I made promise myself that once my feet touches the ground my mind is open to seeing the signs and I'll receive them. I had the mind, I saw the signs, and magic was made in the forest on that warm September day. And it started with two Black Girls from the Cleveland School of the Arts that decided to continue the layout out of their dreams by creating them together.
